Events In South Florida | Gambling Yes indeed we live in an area that is populated by many Indian reservations. I could go on about how their homesteads were invaded all those years ago but trust me; it is best if I steer clear of that topic!
Beaches in Broward County

Beaches In Broward County No doubt about it, it is hotter than ding dong outside, especially for this time of year. While friends and family in the north prepare for the onslaught of winter (a.k.a- snow, ice and dark days) we here in the Sunshine State bask in the sunshine and the “cooler” breezes that drift off the Atlantic ocean. This leads me nicely to the reason for this blog post: the beaches in Broward County. Before the roads and beaches become congested with tourists why not head out to one of the several exquisite beaches that hug our shores.

Events in Fort Lauderdale | A Prelude to Halloween The “cooler” weather has finally arrived in South Florida. I write this with a sense of trepidation (and fingers crossed), for this is my favorite time of the year. I akin this time of year to the moment when the hibernating bear realizes it is time to wake up from a long winter's sleep. With that all said, what a great time to head outside to events in Fort Lauderdale As it is October, and nationwide it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month the 9th annual Glam Doll Strut takes place this weekend in Esplanade Park. Shades of pink will be adorned by all participants who join in this shout out to cure this destructive disease. This worthy cause commences at 11 am and comes its conclusion at 3 pm. The entry fee is $45 and of course, the fee is tax deductible. Heading slightly south to Hollywood…
6 Ways to Finance a Renovation
Posted
(BPT) - If you're planning to take on a home improvement project, you're in good company. A recent report by the Joint Center of Housing Studies at Harvard University predicts that the home improvement industry is expected to post record-level spending this year. As you prepare for your renovation, it’s important to review your financing options based on the size of the project, your intended repayment plan and whether you plan to use a contractor or do it yourself. 6 ways to finance a renovation to consider: Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) - A HELOC can provide ongoing access to funds using the equity in your home, which typically results in lower interest rates than unsecured credit. This type of credit may also provide you potential tax benefits. Consult your tax advisor regarding the deductibility of interest. Mortgages with Built-In Renovation Financing - These loans help homeowners complete renovations with a loan amount that is based on an appraiser's estimate of what the property value will be with completed improvements. This is also an option for aspiring homeowners who purchase properties that need repair. Whether a home purchase or a refinance, this option finances the renovations and mortgage in one loan.

I have a confession. I am mesmerized by the art of the dance. Wherever and whenever I can get my fix of the graceful art of a body in motion, otherwise known as dancingI will travel. Be it on the television or the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, Florida I am there. There is a must attend event in Hollywood this weekend, The Move On Live Tour. This event features the infamous choreographer duo of Julianne Hough and her brother, Derek. Most will recognize this brother and sister act from the television series, Dancing With The Stairs. Many “could” say I am a groupie. This is fine, I just recognize talent. The Move On Live Tour returns for its second year to the Hard Rock Cafe his Friday evening, June 28, 2015. The hotel is located at 5747 Seminole Way, off of US 411 between Griffin and Stirling Roads in Hollywood. There is one performance, held in the 5,500 seat arena commences at 8 pm.
Event in Hollywood: Colors of the Caribbean

As I continually boost, we are lucky to live here in the sunshine state. Sure our weather is fabulous, the people friendly and the food divine but today I am going to rattle on about our location. In particular, our proximity to the Caribbean Islands. There is an event in Hollywood you must attend. I will explain in a few moments. Did you know that Jamaica is a mere 560 miles to our south? The Bahamas a skip and a jump at 181 miles due southeast. To visit the island of Trinidad one only has to travel four hours by plane. Pretty close right? Think of all the cultural differences, the food, the flair, the music and the lifestyle that is very diverse from ours. Simply Magnifique! The sad part of visiting these exotic places is the time it takes to travel to your final destination. The initial journey begins with the car ride to the airport, the parking of your car, flights, hotels and this is all before you eat and have a long cool drink. Not only is it time-consuming, but it can get costly.
