Experience the Beauty of Florida in Imperial Point
Conveniently located between Federal Highway and 18th Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Imperial Point is a gorgeous community with a very interesting history and a lot to offer residents today. With easy access to Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center, a large variety of amazing restaurants, the Dottie Mancini Park, and all of the amenities of living in Fort Lauderdale, you couldn’t choose a better location, but that’s not all there is to love about Imperial Point in Ft. Lauderdale…
Ground first broke on Imperial Point in 1961, with its first phase of 10 model homes. It soon became the first fully electric community in the entire United States. And in 1964 future president Ronald Reagan would visit this amazing community to demonstrate for the world one of the first self-cleaning ovens. At the time, Imperial Point was clearly the development of the future, and it’s just as exciting today as it was over 50 years ago.
Family and community events are planned throughout the year, including the Spring Fling, the Fall Harvest Picnic, the annual Pet Parade, and Winter in the Park. These events include such fun activities as an Easter egg hunt for the kids at the Spring Fling and pony rides, a fire truck, and plenty of games and prizes at the Fall Harvest Picnic. Winter in the Park even features a 40-foot tall “Snow Blowing Slide”.
In addition to all of the year-round family fun, Imperial Point boasts gorgeous and diverse architecture with homes that have been built to be both beautiful and sturdy, to stand the test of time. They’re not just old houses, though. The neighborhood features 1470 completely updated homes with all of the amenities you could ask for. And, if you’re interested in building a new home, there are developing opportunities for your taste and budget, too.
Imperial Point is close to everywhere you want to be in southern Florida, but it’s more than just a development. This neighborhood is a real community with, as you can see from all of the activities you’ll be invited to every year, a lot to offer in the way of friendship, fun, and family.
That said, Imperial Point residents also enjoy an unprecedented amount of privacy and space, as well. You can be as socially involved as you want in the community, but you can still enjoy quiet evenings all to yourself in a gorgeous home, too.
