Located in Broward County, Lauderdale by the Sea is situated between the Atlantic Ocean on the east and Intracoastal Waterway on the west. High-end shopping, scrumptious restaurants, a beautiful beach on the “Gold Coast”, along with a variety of outdoor activities, this is an area that is popular with tourists and residents alike, it has something for everyone!This weekend, they are host to the 16th Annual Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival put on by American Craft Endeavors. The weekend’s festival is free and sure to fulfill your artistic desires. This esteemed community craft festival continues to highlight the talents of more than 100 exhibitors displaying a wide range of works from life-size sculptures to photography and jewelry from local and traveling crafters. Sprawling along A1A and Commercial Blvd, you can’t miss it. It is set up amongst the fun shops and great restaurants of Lauderdale by the Sea and consistently draws a large art and craft loving crowd. This venue is right off the beach so it is sure to be a beautiful day in Fort Lauderdale by the Sea between the beautiful view and the distinguished pieces of artwork.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is October. So the artists at the Lauderdale by the Sea Craft Festival are out to spread knowledge about this devastating disease. They will be creating pieces inspired by the cause and donating the proceeds to the Moffitt Cancer Center . They are encouraging all participants, vendors and visitors, to join in and show off their support by donning their favorite pink attire. PINKTOBER will be well represented here!
