Events In Fort Lauderdale | How To Get There

Whether you have recently arrived in Fort Lauderdale or reside here permanently, there is a mode of transportation that you must use… or at least, try once!  Rather than jump into your car, why not attend the events in Fort Lauderdale using the Sun Trolley?

We all have seen the trolley in our daily outings but I would suggest that few of us,  whether you be a local or one of our many tourists take advantage of this tropical mode of transit.

Imagine the warm South Florida breeze as you stroll down Las Olas Blvd, head down A1A, drive west to Plantation or how fun it would be to start your holiday on route to the airport on the Sun Trolley!

There are several routes (links)  for the trolley. These are the Tri-Rail, Downtown, Las Olas, Beach, Galt Ocean Mile, North West Community, the Neighborhood and Airport links.

Stops along the way include the Coral Ridge and Galleria Malls, A1A and the Fort Lauderdale Beaches, Marriott Hotel Beach Plane, the Tr-Rail Terminal on Broward Boulevard, the Water Taxi, Riverfront, Fort Lauderdale International Airport, the 17th street Causeway and Plantation Hospital out west. There are many others, just too many to mention.

The trolley is straightforward and easy to use. Find a local the trolley stop. When the bus is visible just signal the driver. Then as you approach your desired location tell the driver where you wish to disembark. It is as simple and convenient as one, two three!

The cost of using the Sun Trolley is $1 one-way ride or $3 for an entire day pass. This public service of Fort Lauderdale, Broward County as running for many a year. In 2014, the city added  The Riverway Water Trolley service.
